Judy came to alpacas through alpaca fiber. As the story has been told to me, Laurie (yes Judy and Laurie are sisters - really cool !!!) was with her sister sometime during 2007 and Judy was knitting. Laurie asked her what she was knitting with and Judy said "alpaca". Laurie said "alwhata????" and the journey began. They went to some farms together and one or two auctions and investigated somewhat.
When Judy came up to the farm she fell in love with Teka (Azteka). Teka is a big girl with exquisite fine and crimpy white fleece. she sheared an amazing 10 pounds this past year. And as of this week was bred to our full peruvian herdsire (also white) Joe DiMaggio. (hopefully he did hit one out of the park).... yes i used a sports cliche.... sorry.....
Judy in her day to day life is also a life coach, you can catch up on her on her blog at
www.coachabilities.blogspot.com
check back and see how Judy and Teka are doing.
